Opportunities to serve people through missions are an important part of any youth minisrty. When we take steps of faith to breach our comfort zones and serve in a radical way, God blesses us accordingly with new insight, a more accurate worldview, and a larger heart for His people. James Valley YFC believes this and provides opportunties to serve both stateside and overseas.

A Brief History of Missions:

Haiti 2011     5 staff and 12 students journeyed overseas to help the Mission of Hope supply aid to the people of Haiti whose lives had been ravaged by an earthquake.

Minot 2012     In partnership with Project Serve, we ventured to Minot, ND to help rebuild local residences from the massive flood that destroyed half of the city in 2011.  We also spent two days helping Larry Stenson, the YFC director in Minot, gut out the rest of their flooded office and youth center called "The Rock."

Dominican Republic 2015     Thanks to the vision trip taken by our staff in July 2014, we were well-prepared to return with a group of staff and students to the city of Sosua in the Dominican Republic. The group worked with an organization called Cups of Cold Water to provide a Vacation Bible School craft and lesson, serve a meal to Haitian refugees living at the landfill, complete work projects, and love on the people who live in poverty there.
